LL Cup Bras – UK LL Cup Sizes, Brands & Fit Guidance
A UK LL cup is one of the largest cup sizes currently produced in UK bra sizing. Only a very small number of specialist brands manufacture LL cups, making them extremely difficult to find.
This guide explains what an LL cup means in UK sizing, which brands make it, and how to approach fit when options are limited.

Who This Guide Is For
- Women who wear a UK LL cup
- Those sized out of L and KK cup ranges
- Customers struggling to find any ready-to-wear bras
- Fuller-bust shoppers needing maximum support
Why LL Cup Bras Are So Hard to Find
LL cup bras are difficult to find because they sit at the very top end of UK cup size production. Only a handful of brands design patterns, wires and support structures capable of safely supporting this cup volume.
At LL cup level, bras require:
- Exceptionally deep cups
- Wider and stronger underwires
- Heavily reinforced bands
- Specialist grading beyond standard size ranges
Because demand is small and production costs are high, most brands stop at K, KK or L cups. As a result, LL cup wearers often have access to only one or two styles at any given time.
Why LL Cup Bras Are Different
Unlike smaller cup sizes, UK LL cups are only produced using the extended UK cup sequence. There is no alternative traditional or retailer-specific LL cup sizing.
This means all UK LL cup bras represent the same cup volume. Differences in fit come from band size, cup shape and construction — not from how the size itself is defined.
The extended UK cup sequence is: D, DD, E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH, J, JJ, K, KK, L, LL.
How Cup Sizes Are Actually Measured
All UK bra sizing follows the 1-inch rule. Each step in the cup sequence represents a one-inch increase in the difference between the underband and the fullest bust measurement.
At LL cup level, correct fit depends far more on band firmness, wire shape and overall construction than on the cup letter alone.
The LL cup sits at the upper end of the UK’s extended bra size sequence. This sequence includes several double-letter cup sizes such as FF, GG, HH, JJ, KK and LL, which represent additional steps in the progression rather than half sizes. UK vs US Bra Sizes
Bra sizing systems vary slightly between regions. Most specialist fuller-bust brands such as Panache, Freya, Fantasie and Elomi follow the UK cup size sequence, which includes double letters such as FF, GG and HH.
Some US brands use a slightly different lettering system, which can create confusion when comparing sizes internationally. To understand how the sizing systems relate, see our UK vs US bra size comparison guide .
Is a UK LL Cup the Same as a US LL Bra Size?
It depends on the brand. Many UK-based fuller-bust brands such as Panache, Freya and Elomi use the same extended UK cup sequence internationally, meaning an LL cup is labelled the same in both the UK and US.
However, some US lingerie brands follow a different cup progression. For this reason, always check the brand’s stated sizing system rather than relying on the cup letter alone.
An LL cup is not one fixed volume. Cup volume increases as band size increases, so a 32LL and 38LL are very different in fit and capacity.
Always consider both band size and cup size together.
